South Coast Classic (Guided in 10 languages)

Verð frá: 9.990 ISK per person.

Follow the North Atlantic coast line from Reykjavík into the volcanic and glacier covered wonderland on Iceland´s south coast.

Walk behind the thundering veil of water at Seljalandsfoss waterfall and take in the incredible views from the top of Skógar Waterfall. Step onto the black sand beach at Reynisfjara and visit the charming village of Vík.

Step on board one of our new buses, equipped with WiFi connected computer tablets in each seat. On the tablets you can use our GPS Sensitive In Bus Audio Guide, available with a choice of 10 languages.  Aboard will also be a local guide, that will happily answer any questions you might have about our peculiar country. In each seat you will also find a USB Charger.

The tour starts with a drive through the lava fields and over the volcanoes in Hengill and down to the farmland on the coast line. On clear days you will see the Hekla Volcano and in the distance the glacier coated Eyjafjalljökull Volcano rising above the coastal mountains at its base. Just a few kilometers off the coast line and easily glimpsed are the volcanic Vestmannaeyjar Islands, like broken teeth in the ocean.

Our first stop is at Sólheimajökull Glacier a photographers delight, and we stop there on our way to Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, another picturesque spot. There the waves crash on the black sands, where the jagged basalt sea stacks and the huge basalt column cave are sights not soon forgotten.

Vík is our third stop, and also the southernmost village of Iceland. Enjoy the small town atmosphere at one of the most romantic towns of Iceland. Shop for local handwork or just enjoy the beautiful houses under the calming sound of the sea.

After lunch at Vík we head to the 60 meter high Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, famous for the hidden pathway behind and around it. We then stop at the powerful Skógafoss Waterfall where a short walk up a flight of stairs will reveal one of Iceland´s most scenic views, glaciers, volcanoes and black sand beaches.

Visiting the natural treasures of the south coast should be on your Iceland Top Five.
