The campsite is located by the southern entrance to the town (when coming from Akureyri) and spans a total of 9,500 square metres. It can be found next to the local sports center, the school and Dalvík swimming pool. Great facilities for kids, grassy hills for games and kicking a ball about an AstroTurf pitch, a basketball court and a playground area can also be found here. There are many interesting areas in Dalvík and the Tröllaskagi (Troll Peninsula) that are well worth the visit. Tröllaskagi has beautiful natural and cultural sotes, such as the Natural Wetland of Friðland Svarfdæla and the Country Park of Böggvisstaðafjall Mountain. Whalewatching is a popular pasttime, as is the Beer Spa that opened in the summer of 2017, not to mention several hiking paths. The folk museum Byggðasafn Hvoll is worth a visit.
Further information about activities and service in the area can be found on www.visittrollaskagi.is
The Camping Card is not valid throughout the Fiskidagsvika festival, August 4–9, 2020.
