The campsite at Alfaskeid is located in a beautiful valley only 10 kilometers from the village of Flúðir in the south of Iceland. This campsite hosted regional festivals from the start of the 20th century for almost 60 years. During that period a lot of trees were planted so the campsite offers a nice forest, by Icelandic standards. This campsite has become very popular among travelers in
recent years. Horse rental facilities are available at the farm Syðra Langholt, which is about 1 km from the campsite. Álfaskeið is a family friendly campsite, however, neither hot water nor electricity are available at the campsite.
