The campsite is located in Traðir on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. It is a lovely, family-friendly area by the sea, with beautiful views in all directions, including the Snæfellsjökull glacier, the golden sands of Löngufjörur beach, and towards the mountains. It has excellent facilities with showers and toilets, and electricity for mobile homes and campers. The campsite is well suited for both
individuals and families, and has long been popular with larger groups, such as family reunions. The guesthouse at Traðir, located by the camping site, has a café/restaurant and Traðir also has a popular horse rental facility, perfectly located by the western end of Löngufjörur beach. A golf course is located nearby, and the swimming pool at Lýsuhóll is 11 km away. There is a seal colony about 4 km. from Traðir, and the beautiful Snæfellsjökull National Park is only 50 km away.

Dogs are not allowed in the campsite.
