The campsite is located next to the sports center. A little pond with birds such as ducks can be found at the site and children can fish there. A golf course is situated about 2 km away and fishing is allowed either at the local harbor, or in Ólafsfjörður Lake. The Fjarðará River also offers good fishing with permits that can be purchased.
